Book of the Month
George's Marvellous Medicine
by Roald Dahl
George's Grandma is a grizzly, grumpy, selfish old woman with pale brown teeth and a small puckered up mouth like a dog's bottom. Four times a day she takes a large spoonful of medicine, but it doesn't seem to do her any good. She's always just as poisonous after she's taken it as she was before. When George is left to look after her one morning, it's just the chance he needs . . .

On Screen: Cinderella
Today I went to watch Disney's Cinderella with my husband and three boys...I must say we all loved it. I'm not much of a fan of Disney but this movie is probably the best Cinderella movie ever! I decided to watch it on big screen after seeing the trailer...it was definitely worth it.
The glass-shoe moment
I loved the glass shoe...
and the Pumpkin Coach
The ball..
The evil stepmother and stepsisters at the ball..

Review: We Were Liars
This book won the Goodreads Choice Award 2014 for best YA fiction...I read the blurb and first few pages on Amazon and decided to add it my To Read list. I finished reading it few weeks ago. It was a quick and easy read but also quite thought provoking. And although, some readers have criticised the strangely structured writing style, I actually liked it because it was supposed to be thoughts of a teen who'd been through some traumatic experience so in a way the writing style fits the plot perfectly.
I think it's a type of book you either love it or hate it...just like The Catcher in the Rye. Generally speaking, it would make a good summer read for young adults and adults alike.
Oh and I loved the map and the brief introduction to the Sinclair family in the beginning.
