Book of the Month

                                                            The Book of Tomorrow
                                                                           by Cecelia Ahern

Born into the lap of luxury and comfortable in the here and now, spoiled, tempestuous Tamara Goodwin has never had to look to the future--until the abrupt death of her father leaves her and her mother a mountain of debt and forces them to move in with Tamara's peculiar aunt and uncle in a tiny countryside village.
Tamara is lonely and bored, with a traveling library as her only diversion. There she finds a large leather-bound book with a gold clasp and padlock, but no author name or title. Intrigued, she pries open the lock, and what she finds takes her breath away.
Tamara sees entries written in her own handwriting, and dated for the following day. When the next day unfolds exactly as recorded, Tamara realizes she may have found a solution to her problems. But in her quest to find answers, Tamara soon learns that some pages are better left unturned and that, try as she may, she mustn't interfere with fate.

Review:The Girl with All the Gifts

I read the excerpt and it sounded very interesting so I added it to my 2015 reading list. I must say that it didn't disappoint me at all. From the beginning till the end it is an engaging and mesmerizing story. Okay, the beginning felt like The WW Zombie, and then the middle part had loads of similarities with The Walking Dead but with way more action and thriller. But I guess all zombie stories are similar in a way...although, The Girl With All The Gifts is one of the best I've come across. I liked the ending and how each and every thing was explained and covered to give the reader satisfying feeling. It's definitely a page turner and wouldn't disappoint you.

Book of the Month

George's Marvellous Medicine
by Roald Dahl
George's Grandma is a grizzly, grumpy, selfish old woman with pale brown teeth and a small puckered up mouth like a dog's bottom. Four times a day she takes a large spoonful of medicine, but it doesn't seem to do her any good. She's always just as poisonous after she's taken it as she was before. When George is left to look after her one morning, it's just the chance he needs . . .

On Screen: Cinderella

Today I went to watch Disney's Cinderella with my husband and three boys...I must say we all loved it. I'm not much of a fan of Disney but this movie is probably the best Cinderella movie ever! I decided to watch it on big screen after seeing the trailer...it was definitely worth it.
The glass-shoe moment
The fairy-godmother at work...
I loved the glass shoe...
and the Pumpkin Coach
The ball..

The evil stepmother and stepsisters at the ball..
The Wedding Dress
