A classic that doesn't need any introduction...famous for its dark contents but may surprise you some of its delightful short stories....beautifully written.

3) Fire Spell
Another young-adult fiction set in London 1800s...a wicked witch, an evil puppet master, and lots of magic and adventure. It was published as "Splendours and Glooms" in UK.

4) Shiverton Hall
A middle grade historical fiction, a haunted boarding school...this is the first book in the series.

5) Under My Hat: Tales from the Cauldron
Book of short stories written by authors like Neil Gaiman, Holly Black, Garth Nix, and others.
